my friend just announced she is engaged!!! i'm sooo excited for her!! vegas bachelorette!! only thing is I HAVE NO DATE for the wedding :(( boo whoo but otherwise JO am soo excited! she deserves the wedding bells already! i mean thats her first, her man for 7 years!! haha yeah it was time haha

BOOK OF THE YEAR.

its sad what we do for approval from the ones we love the most. This book takes a man desperate for his father's love and affection and exploits his faults. You hate him, yet pity him. His relationship with his best friend shows how sometimes you dont cherish what is truly great. For some its long after they are gone that you realize what you had. With the dealth of his best friend and father, he is forced to grow up and try to show the man he has become by taking his best friend's son. Its such a moving book. SOOO DEEP. These two relationships cause his character to reach such a low point that the readers just want to close the book and say.. ughh i can't stand this guy, but then you think, wow, this is just sad. What approval drives one to do. Best book of the year.

memoirs of geisha

this book goes up there with my tuesdays with morrie! WOW, such a good memoir! You take a young woman, strip her from everything that was her world, throw her into the unknown, make her struggle with herself and what was becoming of her, finally she learns she must fight to survive to then only be faced with a disappointing fate. In the end she has it her way. Strength is our power. To lose it all and find strength is soo comendable. This book taught lessons along the way. How we might be small and insignicant at times, but a dynamite is small and look at how much it can do. I give this book a 10

A friend of mine lent me this book so thats what I'm reading in my train ride to work. So far so good... I wonder if the movie was good... anyways I'll let you know how it was when i'm done.

Iran threat to block inspections

Great, is this going to lead to another war? Hey Bush, they do have tons of oil! Now what? Growing concerns about this country creating a nuclear bomb continue especially after the President Tehran had these great words to say,

Israel should be wiped out

Some are considering slapping them on the hand by banding them from entering the 2006 World Cup in Germany.. I just don't see how that really does much. Sanction them! I guess its not that easy.. China is urging everyone to be nice. Give them a chance. Iran isn't even blinking to any of the threats.. something should be done before its another crisis to deal with. Well, before its too late.

books for the train

This post is more of a note to self lol but I think I found two good books to read on my way to and back from work

1- smashed by karen zailckas (this one is supposed to be the story of a girl that drank to much lol its supposed to be a real page-turner. i figure if its really that good i'll give it to my friend who drinks to much lol)

2- the glass castle by jeannette walls ( this one is more of a memoir of this 24 year old .. i think lol i forget. but i read an excerpt of the first chapter and thought it was going places..)

i'll get those two books this weekend.. ANYONE out there every read them? bad good? lets see if anyone even reads this haha

king kong was....

I finally saw the movie. I liked it! Long, but a goody. I even felt sad when they killed him! I felt so bad! a tear dropped.. lol Anyways, go see the classic. It was worth it, or at least I think! My friend said she heard it was bad.. i disagree. The graphics were amazing. The close ups were great! let me know what u think...
